I knew he was in Cleveland someplace. While no official reason for his departure was given (that I know of) the rumor was indeed that he inherited a lot of money. While I did like him I must add that he presented the most boring ever Bible study of Psalm. He simply read Psalms word for word KJV with almost zero comments. As of today I can honestly say I gained nothing what-so-ever from that. He was nuts. The issue he brought forth was using literal palm fronds for the Feast of Tabernacles to construct temporary booths. He even fabricated a Bible Study question for a Friday night Bible Study on the topic. He answered by saying, "We will hear a lot more about this from Pasadena".<br /><br />I'm pretty sure that the calendar was not the only issues and the Palm Frond thing was really important to him -- he wasn't going to compromise.<br /><br />My perspective was that he was an eccentric egoist who was determined to get his own way.<br /><br />Given the corruption of the Cult of Herbert Armstrong sometimes it's hard to know who to root for, but in this case, it certainly isn't O'Beirn.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
