When WCG Members Asked, "Who is Gerald Flurry?" (1991)

Back in November 1991, PCG's Wilbur Malone wrote an article chastising those WCG members who happened to say wonder if they should submit to Gerald Flurry's authority. It is entitled, "Who is Gerald Flurry?"

That question was asked recently by a person who wondered if God actually chose this man to head the last segment of the Philadelphia Church of God (PCG). Then there have been some who have read Malachi’s Message and have agreed with it totally, but hesitate to seek membership in the PCG. When asked why this hesitation, some respond, “I agree with Malachi’s Message, but who is this Gerald Flurry?” The meaning here is, “Why is he the leader?”, “Why is he the one in charge?”

What happened was that Gerald Flurry was kicked out of WCG so he started up his own group which acted in competition with WCG to gain more converts from WCG. At the time Tkach was implementing many changes to WCG's doctrines and teachings that would soon see WCG transform into (for the most part) an mainstream evangelical church.

Many WCG members disagreed with this transformation and yearned to continue believing and practicing what HWA taught as they interpreted his writings. This widespread discontent proved to a valuable opportunity for PCG to expand membership by taking advantage of widespread dissatisfaction with the Tkach changes.

However there was no way for PCG to overcome the hurdle that their leader, Gerald Flurry, was not particularly important among the WCG ministry. He was only ordained in 1973. And in the strictly hierarchical world of WCG ministers this meant he was not particularly important. The many ministers who were ordained before him would never join Flurry's following and would view submitting to a junior minister as beneath their dignity.

This fact would be revealed after Malone's article was published with the establishment of the Global Church of God under Roderick Meredith in 1992 and of the United Church of God in 1995. Both splinter groups were able to acquire more WCG members since those who led those groups had greater legitimacy and prestige among WCG members then a minister ordained in 1973 could ever hope to have.

After the rise of GCG Flurry wrote a booklet condemning Meredith's splinter group in a desperate and largely ineffective attempt to keep WCG members flowing into PCG instead of GCG. But that development had not yet occurred at the time of this article.

And how did Malone respond to this perfectly legitimate question?

Isn’t it amazing how some people come upon this marvelous truth and yet still manage to find fault, not with the message, but the messenger? Why is it that there are some who resent someone who has been placed in a position of authority? If a person is convinced that this is the Church God is working through, then why wouldn’t that person accept the one that God is using?

In actual fact many found fault with the message as it changed the understanding of the nature of Laodicean era. Under HWA it was never taught that the WCG leadership would radically change their teachings as did occur under Tkach. Flurry changed the doctrine of the Laodicean era by dogmatically asserting that it would take over WCG. One example of a denunciation of the message (not just the messenger) of Flurry's booklet may be seen in a 1991 article from WCG's Worldwide News. That article was written before Malone's article was published.

The fact that Tkach proceeded to make drastic changes to WCG's teachings had the effect of making Flurry's denunciations of the Tkach changes seem more potent than if Tkach had maintained the doctrines of Armstrongism as the teachings of WCG.

Also Malone denigrates those who should question why it was Gerald Flurry who was in charge as those who "resent" him. Instead of answering the question Malone tried to make those inquiring why he had this authority feel ashamed and foolish to distract readers from the fact that Gerald Flurry was not important among WCG ministers until he was kicked out and founded PCG in competition with WCG.

However at the time Malone's snide comments were buttressed by the fact that Flurry's PCG was then the most prominent offshoot from WCG to publicly oppose the Tkach changes. However this would change with the subsequent rise of GCG and UCG. But before then PCG succeeded in establishing its presence among disaffected WCG members as one of the most prominent offshoot groups.

Malone then proceeds to exploit various parts of the Bible to insist that God would not have chosen a prominent WCG minister to start a new splinter group. After that he then admits that they never anticipated anything like the Tkach changes to occur.

We are now very near the end of this age. We never suspected the split in the Church would occur as it has. We thought the Laodicean Church would come on the scene after God’s Church was taken to a place of safety. But you see, that would have been too easy. Not much faith would have been required. Holding fast would not have been required, etc.

In other words the Tkach changes was never anticipated beforehand by those who would become PCG's leaders. They thought the Laodicean era would only be manifest after the elite of WCG members had fled to the place of safety, widely thought to be Petra, Jordan. But now that an unexpected event had occurred (the rise of Tkach and the changes he began to implement) Flurry and Co. had changed the teaching on these matters to denounce the Tkach changes as the Laodiceans they had been waiting for. But they had never been waiting for WCG's leaders to renounce Armstrongism. PCG had changed the doctrine to fit the times.

Many of you reading this article never expected God to cause a separation that required stepping out of the Church we were called into in order to hold fast to God’s precious truth. I think it’s safe to say that most of us might have thought something was wrong in the Worldwide Church of God but never realized what God required until we read Malachi’s Message. Then it dawned on us. We had to leave the WCG in order to obey God.

In fact many others commented upon the Tkach changes. Many WCG members in time left WCG in order to continue adhering to HWA's teachings as they interpreted them. They did not need PCG to leave WCG.

But Wilbur Malone, being a paid employee of PCG, needed these disaffected WCG members to join his PCG so that the tithes money would go to his paycheck. So he wrote this article to insist to WCG members that they needed to join PCG.

If anyone of you can read Malachi’s Message and truthfully believe that it is merely the work of Gerald Flurry, then I would have to say you should not follow him, for then you would be following a man. God began to reveal these things to Mr. Flurry and he began to jot down notes and research what God was revealing to him. Other men have read this book. Many high-ranking men have read this book. The reason most of them reject it is because it condemns the ministry. God is correcting the ministry. Those of higher rank than Mr. Flurry refuse to see this correction coming from God and attribute it to just a man who wants a following for himself.

But if those WCG ministers are wrong to say Flurry just wants a following for himself then why is it when so many other WCG members later got out of WCG and established other splinter groups that PCG virulently condemned them and later ordered PCG members to shun the members of the other splinter groups?

Malone then insists the hand of God is with Malachi's Message. The following year Flurry would dogmatically proclaim Malachi's Message to be the little book of Revelation 10. That had not yet occurred when this article was written so there is no reference to Malachi's Message as the little book. But the attitude of excessive reverence towards that booklet is clearly expressed by Malone.

Can we read Malachi’s Message and not see God’s hand in it? Can we read Malachi’s Message and not see that it has been inspired by God? Can we totally reject the human instrument that was used in writing this book? Would God have inspired this book to be written by Gerald Flurry and then decide that someone else should be the leader? Who else would God use to lead this last segment of His Work? Why, the one who gave up his livelihood, his job, his pension, and his position in the WCG! He was willing to put it all on the line because God revealed to him what must be done. And Mr. Flurry answered the challenge, regardless of the circumstances.

Actually it is widely known that many of the ideas within Malachi's Message were plagiarized from The Letter to Laodicea by Jules Dervaes, written December 1986-January 1988. It was sent to 237 WCG ministers including Gerald Flurry and John Amos. In fact on September 26, 1990 Jules Dervaes sent a letter to Gerald Flurry in which he denounces Malachi's Message as "a direct and clear plagiarism" of his work. There was no hand of God behind Malachi's Message. It was the hand of Jules Dervaes.

Who is Gerald Flurry? He also is just a man. But he is a man that God, for some reason, decided to reveal certain things to. Mr. Flurry could have turned his back on these things and continued on the easy way, the easy path, the path that leads to destruction. But Mr. Flurry did not. He chose to yield to God and as he has told me in the past, if everyone left and he was there alone, he would still continue to do exactly what he is doing today.

What Malone really means is that Gerald Flurry is his boss and paymaster so he will say what Flurry wants.

Malone ends the article with these words.

No, we probably would not have chosen Mr. Flurry if we had our choice. We probably would have chosen a minister with impressive credentials (Ph.D., Dr., etc.); one gifted in the art of speaking. Also on the other hand we probably wouldn’t have chosen Moses, or David, or Paul. But just as God did choose Moses, David, Paul and many others, this same God has chosen Mr. Flurry to lead the PCG. ... I pray that none of us reject the man God has chosen to lead this end-time Work.

In other words, obey Flurry. Stay in PCG. Keep that tithe money flowing in for Flurry and Malone.

Alas, PCG has since gained a bad reputation for authoritarianism, even restricting members from having contact with members of the other COG groups and ex-members.

PCG's Robert Morley Denounces Missouri Protests

PCG's Robert Morley has written an article once again condemning the protests at the University of Missouri ("Race Riots Coming to a College Campus Near You", November 20, 2015).

Near the end of the article Morley says:

But realize that the Bible says that because America won’t change, race wars are in the future.

The Bible does not say this. Instead this is an allusion to PCG's false prophecy of "race war". PCG has taught since 1992 that in the near future African Americans will launch a wave of riots against the white majority. The terms "race war" and "race riots" seem to refer to the same thing in PCG's jargon. Supposedly this wave of riots will apparently occur everywhere in America at the same time.

This is a racist false prophecy that vilifies African Americans and condemn them as being fated to attack the white majority in the near future. PCG is exploiting current protests in the University of Missouri to once again promote this racist idea.

Elsewhere in the article Morley portrays the protesters in a negative way. He even condemns President Wolfe for supposedly not fighting the protesters.

But when Wolfe resigned, it was not for the good of the students. He effectively threw tinder under every college campus in America, including his own.

Wolfe’s refusal to fight—specifically his refusal to confront the lies and expose the racist underpinnings of his accusers—validated the ideas of the radical black empowerment movement. It empowered the radical left. And now the sparks from his campus are igniting similar protests on college campuses across America.

What really empowered the protesters was that they were persuaded that those in charge of the University did not take the problem of racism seriously.

Morley insists that there is no evidence of systematic racism at the University. Note the way Morley denigrates the protesters and minimizes the issues, even referring to the acts in question as "so-called incidents of racism".

But consider the situation at Mizzou. First, realize that there was no evidence of systemic racism at the university. None. Protesters ranted about the supposedly racist system in America but astoundingly were full of generalities and short of specifics.

Second, the so-called incidents of racism that occurred were few and mostly anecdotal. One white student supposedly referred to a black student in a derogatory way. There were other similar occurrences that essentially amounted to name-calling. The police were never called. No reports were filed. One of the most high-profile cases didn’t even occur on campus or by confirmed students. In essence, almost every supposed incident amounted to a “he said, she said.” There was a case where a swastika was drawn on a bathroom wall with human excrement. But nobody knows who did it. In another case, someone painted over the word “black” on the Black Cultural Center sign. In 2010—five years ago—two white students dumped cotton balls onto the lawn outside the Black Culture Center. Not to say that these actions should be condoned, but does this sound like an epidemic in a college with an enrollment of over 35,000 people?

Morley then states that the student body president is "a documented liar".

Morley then insists that the protesters do not have honorable motives.

But if the University of Mizzou is not a hotbed of white racism, what were the protests really about?

Power. Money. And racism of a different kind.

Although Morley seems quite eager to deny racism by whites ("so-called incidents of racism") he seems perfectly happy to call the African American protesters as racist.

He then accuses these protesters of promoting "propaganda trying to brainwash students" about racism.

The ultimatum went on to demand that all students and faculty be mandated to take racial awareness and inclusion curriculum. This is the type of grievance indoctrination promoted by groups such as the Pacific Educational Group. Basically, it is propaganda trying to brainwash students into believing that America as a nation is inherently racist and that all white people are subconsciously racist even if they don’t appear to be.

Instead of trying to help people understand the situation Morley presents the protesters' demands as something frightening. What is so strange about noting that racism has been a most unfortunate problem for so long within American history? How could things like racism, the tragic history of slavery and segregation not affect things even today. These facts do not mean we should despair but rather we should boldly confront such issues in order to create a better society for all Americans.

Also as Morley's own article shows there is a lot of misunderstanding and lack of awareness of the issues of racism out there. It is good for people to be informed about perspectives they may not have previously known of. Learning new things and new perspectives is education.

But Morley's vilification of such curriculum shows he is uninterested in what they have to say and is trying to convince other people not to engage with what such curriculum should happen to say. Rather we should boldly confront such curriculum. If they say good things let us accept it. If it is wrong then say it is wrong. But let us not just bluntly condemn it without understanding what they are saying.

The protests are not about equality. Just like the “hands up, don’t shoot” movement, which is based on a lie, really isn’t about ending police brutality. This is about power and money, plain and simple. Just look at Al Sharpton, Van Jones, Louis Farrakhan, Jeremiah Wright and the rest of their grievance industry, race-baiting ilk that is increasingly being legitimized in the media and by the White House. 

Is it not amazing how Morley talks about racism as though it is just something in African Americans' heads? And why does Morley blame the media and the White House instead of racism? This redefines African Americans' protests as the real problem instead of racism.

These radicals don’t really care about ending racism. They just care about black empowerment. The Washington Post reported that protesters shouted a profanity-laced, racially charged tirade. One student was pinned against the wall while a student yelled in her face. Are these protesters yelling racial slurs really concerned about ending racism? Why didn’t you see any of the protesters renouncing this kind of activity?

The article is incorrect. It actually links to The Washington Times, a far right newspaper owned by a certain controversial religious group originating from Korea.

Also Morley's attempt to vilify African American protesters as racist show Morley's failure to understand the difference between a majority and a minority. As a minority African Americans are more vulnerable to being socially disadvantaged and oppressed then the white majority. Even in the impossible situation of every ethnic minority lashing out at the white majority it can be countered by the majority population.

But on the other hand if even only a critical mass of the white majority decide to impose racially discriminatory rules and regulations upon ethnic minorities it can be forced upon all ethnic minorities. Such situations in fact did occur under slavery and segregation. Hence why ethnic minorities such as African Americans are so worried and concerned about the problem of racism. It is unfortunate that Morley seems to fail to appreciate this concern.

Morley ends the article with these words.

Tim Wolfe might have resigned out of love. But giving in to hateful radicals—who believe white people are inherently racist and who want to overthrow the “white male privilege” system of oppression that supposedly defines America—is not the way to show love to the other 35,000 students at Missouri University who are actually trying to get a real education, nor to the students at every other college that will now suffer similar disruptions.

Is Morley worried such protests are about to occur in PCG's own college? Are they scared that a similar protest could occur with HWA College? What nonsense. That seems very unlikely since that unaccredited College is completely by PCG whereas the University of Missouri belongs to many different persons and interests.

Why are they so worried about some Americans protesting? The mere fact that PCG seems so scared of follow Americans protesting seems to show that they do not view African Americans as follow Americans but as rivals who "need" to be kept in check and are "not of us".

If the PCG leadership viewed African Americans as just fellow Americans like themselves they would not be afraid of these protesters.

PCG Calls ISIL a Distraction

So Abu Bakr al Baghdadi's lackeys (ISIL) committed various horrifying atrocities such as murdering about 132 innocent people in Paris and launching suicide bombers to murder over 40 innocent people in Beirut but despite all that PCG insists that ISIL are but a distraction.

It is entitled, "What Motivates Radical Islam, the Islamic State Distraction, and the Greatest Lesson We Can Learn".

Since 1994 PCG has been fear mongering about Iran. PCG did not anticipate the rise if ISIL. PCG are but mere mortals like the rest of us. PCG is complaining that Iran is no longer as feared and loathed as PCG wishes they were.

PCG Compared with the 14 Points of Fascism

Back in 2003 Dr. Lawrence Britt examined various fascist regimes (Fascist Italy, Nazi Germany, Spain under Franco and Indonesia under Suharto) and concluded that there were fourteen points of fascism common among those regimes. (Linking is not an endorsement about everything on that web page.)

No doubt there is a wide range of views regarding authoritarianism of a right wing variety but for now let us use these fourteen points to discuss PCG.

It should be mentioned that Dr. Britt is talking about nation states. PCG is not a nation state, but a religious organization. So some of the points mentioned here (taxes, military funding, etc.) do not perfectly apply to PCG on that account. But disturbingly the attitudes behind the actions described in the fourteen points of fascism seem to well describe PCG to a frightening degree.

Let us take a look.

1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.

It is not possible for me to verify if PCG uses nationalist symbols and songs the way Dr. Britt describes here. However PCG is certainly quite nationalistic and exploit nationalist feelings among their readers in their politically focused writings. In the context of PCG it is certainly true that the PCG 1% quite often appeal to nationalism. The attitude behind such actions seems to well describe PCG.

2. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of "need." The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc. 

PCG's leaders have indeed showed disdain for human rights. This may be seen in the following example.

In 2009 the late Ron Fraser complained about how the parents of a British soldier who died during a training exercise. Instead of sympathizing with the parents in this severe and terrible distress Fraser chose to vilify those unfortunate parents and even insinuate they were traitors.

Disgustingly Fraser even "wonders" if Nazi tyranny extending into Britain would have been such a bad thing.

A recent decision by a British court will have Britain’s enemies all over the planet in stitches of laughter. In May, the court upheld a case brought against the Ministry of Defense by the parents of a British soldier who died of heatstroke on the battlefield.

Thus, the nation once renowned for the code of honor within its regimental tradition and the lion-like bravery of its fighting forces in battle is reduced to the image of a silly dove ....

One has to wonder if such a judicial attitude had prevailed during World War II—in which British soldiery often entered battle grossly underequipped—whether the rule of the tyrant who could have overwhelmed Britain would have produced results any worse than the present tyranny of the feminist, homophile, politically correct thinking that dominates the British judiciary. ...

Had the parents of just one airman who fought in the Battle of Britain—who was deprived of adequate rest and the basic comforts of life, often in freezing conditions, fighting to save his nation from the Nazi aggressor while squeezed into the tiny cockpit of his Spitfire—even considered bringing such a charge against the Ministry of Defense back then, they would have been laughed to scorn and called traitors to boot! Since Fraser seems to "wonder" if the extension of Nazi tyranny into Britain would have been so bad let us remember what happened in the Nazi occupied British Channel Islands.

A small number of foreign and British Jews lived on the Channel Islands during the [Nazi] occupation. Most of the Channel Island's Jews evacuated in June 1940, but officials did not permit foreign Jews to leave for Britain. Three Jewish women of German and Polish nationality, Therese Steiner, Auguste Spitz, and Marianne Grünfeld, had fled Central Europe to Guernsey in the 1930s but had been unable to leave Guernsey as part of the evacuation in 1940 because they were excluded by UK law. They were deported to France in April 1942 to be later shipped to Auschwitz where they died. (Wikipedia.)

What a terrible thing Fraser should say to idly "wonder" if Nazi tyranny over Britain would have been so bad. It is so shameful and abhorrent. How dare Ron Fraser should say such a shameful words.

So, getting back to the main topic, we see that the point mentioned above, the disdain of human rights, is true of PCG.

3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: racial, ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc. 

PCG often vilify and fear mongers about many types of peoples. Germans, Catholics, African Americans, Muslims, Palestinians, Iranians, Russians, Chinese, Japanese even to this day, immigrants from Latin America, feminists, homosexuals, transgenders, etc. PCG even teaches that African Americans are fated to launch a wave of riots against the white majority. This supposedly future event PCG emotively calls a "race war". This point appears to be true of PCG.

4. Supremacy of the Military Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized. 

Now PCG does not control government funding. However it is true that PCG tends to talk about crises involving other countries far away from the United States a lot. It is true that PCG sometimes talk as though they want the United States to go to war. Ironically PCG members are taught not to serve in the armed forces. Domestic priorities are neglected in that manner by PCG. The attitude behind this point of fascism seems to describe PCG to some degree.

5. Rampant Sexism The governments of fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Divorce, abortion and homosexuality are suppressed and the state is represented as the ultimate guardian of the family institution. 

It is true that PCG presents itself as the guardian of family. PCG belittles unapproved initiative by female PCG members by accusing such women of running "upside-down families". Joel Hilliker write that the type of idealized families he promotes are now "so rare". This denigration of the vast majority of heterosexual relationships is a license for PCG's 1% to order their followers how to structure their family lives. This point is true of PCG.

Both abortion and homosexuality are condemned as sinful by PCG's leaders.

The point above seems to well describe PCG.

6. Controlled Mass Media Sometimes to media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common. 

PCG does not control the media. But they have a media outlet with which they present their narrow views and messages to the world. Relative to PCG members this point can apply to PCG.  

7. Obsession with National Security Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses. 

Is this why PCG constantly talk about national security issue? They are using such talk to keep PCG members motivated to remain under PCG's authority? This point seems to be true of PCG.

8. Religion and Government are Intertwined Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government's policies or actions. 

PCG's leadership indeed use religion to demand members pay three tithes to them. This point applies to PCG. But it must be mentioned that any opposition to such a system on religious grounds would no doubt be opposed by such an authoritarian system. So one could say that a fascist regime co-ops religion by promoting collaborators and suppressing those religious groups that would oppose the fascist regime.

9. Corporate Power is Protected The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite. 

As a religious organization PCG is no position to legally protect corporate elites. But even here the attitude behind this point of fascism seems to apply to PCG as may be seen in a previous post discussing a 2005 article by Joel Hilliker

Hilliker even seems to think that "cursing the rich business leaders" some of whom helped plunge America into the global financial crisis in 2007-8 is wrong.

Cursing the leaders, speaking ill of the government, even cursing the rich business leaders—these are hallmarks of American democracy. Any mistake the president or other public official makes, the press attacks with piranha-like ferocity. The lead-up to elections are particularly brutal, as people on all sides smear candidates and candidates smear one another.

Is democracy really more godly than a monarchy?

In recent years so many Americans have badly suffered because of decisions made by some of these "rich business leaders". It is morally astounding how Hilliker chooses to sympathize with "the rich business leaders", some of whom have had such a terrible effect upon so many Americans including, no doubt, PCG members. So we see that even this point above, protecting corporate power, appears to apply to PCG.

10. Labor Power is Suppressed Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed. 

PCG have also condemns workers' unions. HWA did the same as well. This point applies to PCG.

11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts and letters is openly attacked. 

This is true for PCG. Universities are often condemned by PCG, and the other COGs as well, because they teach things contrary to Armstrongite dogma. Also PCG have their own unaccredited College so they are motivated to get their members to go to their college and not any other.

Also PCG constantly vilify and denigrate various works of art they deplore. Often they say that those works of art contradict PCG's dogmas about how the world should be structured.

This point applies to PCG.

12. Obsession with Crime and Punishment Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations. 

Since PCG has no police force this does not strictly apply to PCG. But they are quite fixated on issues of crime and punishment. The attitude described seems to well describe PCG's attitude.

13. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders. 

Rampant cronyism? It is hard to verify such assertions without being inside PCG.

14. Fraudulent Elections Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections.

In PCG there is no election. Rather it is insisted that (PCG's) God instituted one man rule for the church and that Gerald Flurry is that one man. It is insisted that one must follow this one man to follow God.

It is quite disturbing how so many of these fourteen points of fascism seem to accurately describe PCG. It appears that PCG share attitudes and traits common to various fascist regimes.

Personally I doubt I will call PCG fascist in the future because I feel the possibility of misunderstanding is too great if one used that word to describe PCG consistently. But it is worth looking at a list like this to find another way to view matters regarding PCG.

US Holocaust Museum Calls for Helping Refugees

WASHINGTON, DC—Acutely aware of the consequences to Jews who were unable to flee Nazism, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum looks with concern upon the current refugee crisis. While recognizing that security concerns must be fully addressed, we should not turn our backs on the thousands of legitimate refugees.

The Museum calls on public figures and citizens to avoid condemning today’s refugees as a group. It is important to remember that many are fleeing because they have been targeted by the Assad regime and ISIS for persecution and in some cases elimination on the basis of their identity.

The situation in Syria is most severe and terrible. Those who are fleeing are trying to save themselves from the ravages of the Assad regime and Abu Bakr al Baghdadi's lackeys (ISIL).

Let us not feel regret that help could have been given and was not. The refugees resist the tyranny and oppression of the Assad regime and ISIL by trying to get out of the ghastly situation. They were denied peace at home so they are tying to find peace elsewhere. If we were in their situation doubtless we would behave the same. Because we are all human beings.

It is certainly true that in the era of Nazism many European Jews who could have been saved by gaining asylum elsewhere were denied the opportunity to move to another place. Let that terrible act not be repeated in this current crisis.

ISIL's Plot to Make Us Hate Muslims (Part 2)

From Max Blumenthal. Here he quotes an article from a propaganda magazine produced by ISIL in which the ISIL ideologue expresses his hope that ISIL's terrorist attacks will incite the hatred and marginalization of Muslims in the West.

[ISIL ideologue is quoted saying:] "The presence of the Khilafa [Islamic Caliphate] magnifies the political, social, economic, and emotional impact of any operation carried out by the mujahadin [freedom fighters] against the enraged crusaders,” Dabiq stated. “This magnified impact compels the crusaders to actively destroy the grayzone themselves, the zone in which many of the hypocrites and deviant innovators living in the West are hiding…."

Here, ISIS revealed its intention to unravel the fabric of Western civil society — what it calls the "grayzone” — by provoking governments into carrying out disproportionate military reprisals and adopting draconian security measures.

Once repression and Islamophobia in Western societies reaches sufficiently unbearable levels, the author wrote, “The Muslims in the West will quickly find themselves between one of two choices, they either apostatize and adopt the kufri [infidel] religion propagated by Bush, Obama, Blair, Cameron, Sarkozy, and Hollande in the name of Islam so as to live amongst the kuffar [infidels] without hardship, or they perform hijrah [emigrate] to the Islamic State and thereby escape persecution from the crusader governments and citizens.” (Max Blumenthal, Alternet, November 16, 2015.)

We must not play into ISIL's hands. 

89 Palestinians Killed Since October 1

In the current turmoil occurring in the Holy Land so far 89 Palestinians have been killed since October 1.

It [the Palestinian Health Ministry] said that the number of Palestinians, killed by Israeli fire since October 1, has arrived to 89, including 18 in the Gaza Strip and one in the Negev, and that among the slain Palestinians are eighteen women and four children (including a mother and her baby in Gaza.)

The Ministry stated that more 10.000 Palestinians have been injured in the same period in different parts of occupied Palestine.

“On average, the army kills two Palestinians and injures around 217 every day,” it said. (International Middle East Media Center.)

Spain Issues Arrest Warrants Over Mavi Marmara

In 2010 nine Turkish men on board the Mavi Marmara were killed by Israeli personnel. One was a US citizen. A tenth man was beaten into a coma and died four years later without regaining consciousness.

PCG insisted that Israel was the victim. PCG even accused some of those who died of wanting to die in such a way. It was the Turks' fault, PCG essentially said to the world.

A judge in Spain disagreed. Arrest warrants have been issued in Spain for Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Netanyahu, who were involved in what happened that deadly day.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and seven other former and current government officials are at risk of arrest if they set foot in Spain, after a Spanish judge effectively issued an arrest warrant for the group, it has been reported. (The Independent.)

A true friend of Israel would have warned of the danger of the situation instead of simplistically insisting one side was right.
Aside from Prime Minister Netanyahu here are the other individuals who might be arrested should they go to Spain.

Others who might face arrest include former foreign minister Avigdor Liberman; current and former defense ministers Moshe Ya’alon and Ehud Barak, respectively; former interior minister Eli Yishai; former intelligence minister Dan Meridor; and minster-without-portfolio Bennie Begin. Together with Netanyahu, they make up the so-called Forum of Seven, an ad hoc committee of ministers that made key decisions on security issues at the time. Former head of the Navy Eliezer Marom, the top IDF commander running the operation at the time, also could face arrest. (Jerusalem Post.)

Israel Bans Muslim Political Party

The State of Israel has just banned a political party.

In outlawing its most strident Islamist group, Israel risks angering its largely quiescent Arab citizens as it confronts a wave of Palestinian violence powered by religious and political tensions.The relative popularity of the northern branch of the Islamic Movement, banned by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's security cabinet on Tuesday, has troubled Israel as it tries to curb street attacks raging for the past seven weeks.
Leaders of the Israeli Arab minority declared a commercial strike for Thursday in protest at the ban and accused Netanyahu of scapegoating their community rather than addressing the Palestinians' grievances and statehood demands.
"Netanyahu wants to rebrand the conflict as a religious conflict," Ayman Odeh, head of the Joint Arab List faction in the Israeli parliament, said in a speech. "This is nothing more than anti-democratic, political persecution." (Reuters.)

Israel's internal security agency, Shin Bet, said it was a bad idea.

Over the past few months, since the start of the terror wave, at least five cabinet meetings have been held over the possibility of outlawing the northern branch of the Islamic Movement. The senior official said that during the discussions, the police supported the move and the Shin Bet objected to it. The police said that outlawing the movement’s northern branch would allow the authorities to take the fullest extent of action against it, whereas the Shin Bet said that action against the northern branch and its leaders should be on the basis of evidence. “Shin Bet Chief Yoram Cohen explained during the cabinet meetings that the movement is very careful and walks a fine line to make it legally harder to catch them involved in terror,” the senior official said.

One reason for the disagreement between the two agencies’ intelligence assessments was the effect of outlawing the northern branch on the Arab community. The Shin Bet said the move could lead to unrest, strengthen the status of the northern branch and even cause it to work underground instead of openly and publicly. However, the police claimed that even if such a decision was protested, it would not lead to riots. Ahead of some of the cabinet meetings, Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan toured northern and southern police districts, where district commanders also said that outlawing the movement would not lead to unrest. Muslims Killed in ISIL's Terrorist Attack in Paris

Abu Bakr al Baghdadi's lackeys, ISIL, murdered at least 132 innocent people in a terrorist attack in Paris. Some of the victims were Muslims.

Among the dead in last week's Paris attacks were two sisters celebrating a birthday, a promising architect, a talented musician and a woman shot while out doing some late shopping. What they had in common was that they were Muslims killed in the random slaughter carried out by Islamic State.

Most victims of violence by Islamic State and other jihadist groups are Muslims, since they fight mostly in majority Muslim countries and often attack less radical Islamic communities such as Shi'ites and Sufis that they consider to be heretics. (Reuters.)

ISIL are a bunch of power hungry usurpers and terrorists willing to kill anyone in order to gain power. They have exploited issues in order to aggrandize power for themselves. The leaders of ISIL promote twisted fantasies to gain followers and operatives. ISIL does not fight for Islam. ISIL fight for themselves.
