This issue has a circulation of 297,255. For the first time since the December 2010 issue The Philadelphia Trumpet has had a circulation lower than 300,000. This is part of a continuing decline since the December 2012 issue (341,259). Clearly all the money PCG's members and co-workers are sending to PCG has been failing to increase circulation for The Philadelphia Trumpet for over two years now. Where is that money going? Is it being spent effectively?
Gerald Flurry has a personal article insisting that a strong German leader will soon emerge to lead the European Union to conquer America. PCG teaches that only PCG members will be saved from the Great Tribulation.
Richard Palmer has an article fear mongering that the various crises within the European Union will cause the European Union to (finally) unite as an unstoppable military power. HWA and his imitators have been shrilly insisting this will happen continuously since the 1930s.
Dennis Leap has an article which exploits the memory of William Shakespeare to insist that only PCG knows what will happen in the afterlife. It ends promoting a book that promotes the God Family heresy which happens to be untrue.
Brad MacDonald has an article insisting that President Obama is a pushover towards Iran. Never mind that it is widely suspected that the Stuxnet virus was created by the United States government under the watch of President Obama. This is a simplistic story designed to make PCG members fearful that the Great Tribulation will soon occur.
Brent Nagtegaal has a little article saying that the Obama Adminstration is ignoring the current leadership in Egypt. No doubt PCG's leaders hope PCG members forget how they insisted that the Muslim Brotherhood would turn Egypt into a state like Iran never foreseeing how they would be overthrown with much violence in 2013.
Jeremiah Jacques has an article vilifying scientists as intolerant bigots. There are many facts in the real world which are contrary to what PCG teaches. PCG's leaders do not want PCG members to note that PCG dogma is not the perfect interpretation of reality that they are told it is. That is the real purpose of Jacques' article.
There is an Infographic mocking what some scientists have said about Climate Change. Maybe they should make a graphic of all the utterly wrong things PCG has taught over the years.
Gerald Flurry also has an article insisting that America is about to experience economic collapse.
Gerald Flurry also has an article which teaches that Armstrongite dogma of the seven church eras. The doctrine of seven church eras is complete nonsense. This is comprehensively shown by Bruce Renehan in his book, Daughter of Babylon.
Worldwatch has little articles about Russia's tense relations with Georgia, fear mongering about China's submarines, an alarmist report that the Pope's bodyguard is worried Abu Bakr al Baghdadi's lackeys may try to strike at the Pope (Isn't that the bodyguard's duty to think of such things?), fear mongering about Boko Haram insurgents in Nigeria, an article noting the recent fall of Hazzm in Syria, fear mongering about a replica of an American ship being used as target practice in military exercises in Iran, and fear mongering about Britain's military having cuts to its budget.
Societywatch has little articles fear mongering about Muslims in Britain and another little article red baiting the protesters in Ferguson.
Joel Hilliker has a little article calling for parents to raise up their children like Theodore Roosevelt.
There are letters. Here is one of them.
Behind the scenes there is a dark power rising in the heart of Europe. The pope has now had his life threatened. When Christians were beheaded on the border of Europe, it was with a message sent straight to the Vatican. Iran is playing a dangerous game of cat and mouse. Somebody ought to tell them that they are the mouse!HWA and his imitators have been saying Europe will arise as an unstoppable power since the 1930s. This delusion HWA originated is still being used to keep people fearful of the future.
Brad MacDonald has a little article insisting that unimaginably horrifying events are about to occur at any moment. PCG has been saying this for twenty-five years now. HWA and his imitators have been saying this for about eighty years now. The purpose of this article is to re-enforce within PCG members once again the induced phobia that the world will soon be destroyed and to protect themselves they must stay within PCG. This is nonsense designed to scare people into staying in PCG despite the many problems there.
Where's Stephen Flurry, Robert Morley, Callum Wood or Anthony Chibarirwe?
And so this post comes to an end.
"Clearly all the money PCG's members and co-workers are sending to PCG has been failing to increase circulation for The Philadelphia Trumpet for over two years now. Where is that money going? Is it being spent effectively?"
ReplyDeleteThat's an excellent question.
And in that regard, just how much is still owed on the Auditorium?
They seem to be holding their own so far, but it would be justice if they had to declare bankruptcy and lose everything.
It seems they have already paid it off Mikey.

There was a report on Banned by HWA that indicates that Armstrong Auditorium has still not been paid off.
ReplyDeletehttp://armstrongismlibrary.blogspot.com/2014/05/flurrys-mini-me-auditorium-is-still.html
But if PCG was not so secretive about themselves there would be no possibility of such misunderstanding.
It is also worth mentioning that Armstrong Auditorium cost $25 million, more than PCG's annual income of $19.5 million in 2012.

The takeaway for me is that you can never be quite sure when it comes to Armstrongists....
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to people who are so delusional they believe British Israelism, it's not safe to trust one word they say....
