How Will COGs Spin President Morsi's Fall?
President Muhammad Morsi has been overthrown. I wonder what the COGs will say about it.
It seems to me some COGs, (I mean PCG) has tried to portray the recent Arab protests as simply paving the way for Islamic fundamentalists to seize power and further frustrate Western interests. PCG seems to have this dismissive assumption that if Arabs were allowed to have democracy they would unthinkingly give power to Islamic fundamentalists. This assumption was no doubt encouraged when the Muslim Brotherhood's candidate, Muhammad Morsi, became President.
But now he has been removed.
Will PCG still arrogantly assume that Muslims will hand over power to Islamic fundamentalists or will they instead say they are human beings who sometimes makes choices we would not anticipate?
