But in PCG's latest issue of their recruitment magazine Gerald Flurry mentions the Syrian passport but fails to mention it was a fake thus making it hard to verify who he really was.
On November 13, a small team of terrorists murdered about 130 people in Paris. In just one night, these bloody-minded people shocked France and the world. Scores of people died for no reason other than that they were out and about in Paris, and so were these maniacal criminals.Alas, with the current crisis of refugees fleeing to Europe, many fleeing the depredations of the Assad regime and ISIL within Syria, PCG is spreading fear about people who desperately need help and safety. As early as February this year PCG have been slurring the refugees fleeing into Europe of being terrorist infiltrators. The following scare mongering was noted in a previous post.
What most of the world probably suspected turned out to be true. These terrorists were radical Islamists sponsored by [Abu Bakr al Baghdadi's lackeys who falsely call themselves] the Islamic State. One of them allegedly came from Syria and arrived in Europe on a refugee boat—about a month before he blew himself up in a Paris crowd. (Gerald Flurry, Where the Paris Attacks Are Leading, January 2016, p. 1.)
And even worse [Callum] Wood also had an article ("Lampedusa and the Islamic State's War on Rome") that slurs the immigrants trying to reach Italy by sea as infiltrators sympathetic to Abu Bakr al Baghdadi's lackeys. So many of those vulnerable people have died at sea as Wood himself acknowledges in the article but nevertheless he presents those vulnerable and deprived people as a threat and he associates them with Abu Bakr al Baghdadi's lackeys.Considering how so many refugees are in great danger it is terribly irresponsible to fear monger about these desperate and deprived people so many of whom have already died in the most pitiable circumstances.
Italy’s immigration crisis heightens the risk of terrorist attacks on the Continent. ...Such wild and irresponsible rhetoric vilifying so many people is not good. No good can come from this. It is shameful that PCG should devote so much to vilify innocent people just because they happen to be Muslim.
As Italy’s southernmost territory, the small island of Lampedusa has become the front line in the Islamic State’s war on Rome. ...
With so many immigrants crossing to Italy, the likelihood is high that radicals are slipping into mainland Europe unnoticed. ...
The opportunity for terrorists to reach the heart of Italy is a real and present danger. And the Islamic State has no qualms about letting the world know its intentions to carry out such an attack.
Islamic State leader Abu Bakar al-Baghdadi has made numerous threats to wage a war against Rome. In video and audio recordings, he calls on all Muslims to return to their homeland, from where they can launch their offensive against “the nation of the cross.”...
Radical Islam is directly threatening the Catholic Church and Europe today in a way unseen since [the ninth century.] The blood of the Catholic Church’s “brothers” in Egypt and Libya is being spilled into the Mediterranean again today. How long before it reaches Lampedusa or further?
Whatever happens next in Libya, the nation’s potential as a deadly backdoor into Europe has been exposed. Italy and the Vatican are now dealing with the dangers posed by radical Islam. Don’t expect Europe to allow that back door to remain open much longer.
It is most unfortunate that some governors have given into to fear and said they will not accept refugees. This makes those who want to help in this desperate situation even more worthy of praise.
Republican Gov. Nikki Haley of South Carolina said Monday that she would not oppose the settlement of Syrian refugees in her state, as did Connecticut Democrat Dannel Malloy, Pennsylvania Democrat Tom Wolf, and Vermont Democrat Peter Shumlin. (Slate.)Also the U.S. Holocaust Museum has called for refugees to be welcomed into the United States.
WASHINGTON, DC—Acutely aware of the consequences to Jews who were unable to flee Nazism, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum looks with concern upon the current refugee crisis. While recognizing that security concerns must be fully addressed, we should not turn our backs on the thousands of legitimate refugees. It is not good that PCG should promote fear and xenophobia towards people who desperately need help.
The Museum calls on public figures and citizens to avoid condemning today’s refugees as a group. It is important to remember that many are fleeing because they have been targeted by the Assad regime and ISIS for persecution and in some cases elimination on the basis of their identity.
ISIL wants us to hate Muslims. We must not give them what they want.
Let us not give in to fear.
