In the coming days the Senate may vote on whether to block or delay the admission of Syrian refugees.
As Jews, this vote recalls a time when our people were turned away from this country as they fled the horrors of fascism and genocide.
Like then, much of the rhetoric around this refugee question is being driven by fear and bigotry.

J Street Calls for Syrians Refugees to be Welcomed
Good on J Street for standing up for these vulnerable and desperate people who need help, not hostility.
