PCG Still "Watching" Karl-Theodor zu Guttenburg

PCG has released an article by Brad MacDonald once again talking about Karl-Theodor zu Guttenburg. It continues the tradition PCG has pursued for years now of presenting him as a possible candidate for the fulfillment of PCG's dire (false) prophecies that a European dictator will soon emerge to conquer and destroy the United States and Great Britain.

(Incidentally the self appointed false prophet Bob Thiel also likes to portray Karl-Theodor zu Guttenburg as a possible fulfillment of Armstrongism's feared European dictator.)

Even though he now lives in Connecticut, MacDonald still portrays him as a likely candidate to assume power in Germany.
A few years ago this man was Germany’s defense minister, the nation’s most popular politician, and the individual many were certain was next in line to become chancellor. Today Mr. Guttenberg resides in Connecticut, America, where he was banished in 2011 following a massive scandal surrounding the discovery that he had plagiarized parts of his doctorate. Although he no longer holds an office, he remains an astute, pragmatic politician, a dynamic communicator, and a born leader. He is, therefore, a man to watch.
There are many people as talented and skilled as Karl-Theodor zu Guttenburg. Actually the real reason PCG watches him is because PCG's leaders thought he would be the European dictator. Even though he has since fallen from favor PCG still uses him to scare PCG members into thinking catastrophe is just around the corner.

MacDonald portrays Karl-Theodor zu Guttenburg as a remarkably prescient man able to see where events are leading before they are obvious. His views regarding the crises in Iraq, Syria and Ukraine are portrayed as true but unpopular among short sighted, self serving politicians.
These aren’t popular views, at least not right now. But it is the truth, and events are proving it accurate. Sooner or later, the people will come to see that he was right! Will Germany, will Europe, beg this man to come out of retirement and solve the problems he has been warning them about?
Sad to say it seems likely to me that not a few PCG members will view these ambiguous statements as a dire foretelling that he will assume power.

Then MacDonald talks about Karl-Theodor zu Guttenburg's comments regarding the recent revelations that the NSA bugged the German Chancellor's phone.
You watch. The unhealthy state of the U.S.-German relationship is already making headlines, but this crisis is going to get much worse. Expect to see many more headlines about the breakdown of this relationship. When it happens, this too will vindicate K.T. zu Guttenberg. It is an issue he has been talking about for months!
MacDonald then selectively quotes a news interview to portray Karl-Theodor zu Guttenburg as the initiator of a hardening militarism within Germany.
That’s pretty incredible: Germany’s present military transformation can be traced right back to Guttenberg’s tenure as defense minister!
Or maybe this detail is being viewed as more then it really is. Maybe PCG's writers are just skilled at quote mining just the right words to make PCG's desired scenario appear more realistic then is the case.

MacDonald says that Karl-Theodor zu Guttenburg complained that the German military did not have enough funding. Later the German Defence Minister said the same thing. It is implied that maybe Karl-Theodor zu Guttenburg caused this.
A debate about military spending is now under way in Germany. Politicians from both the ruling coalition parties, and even the Green Party, are calling for the military to have more money to spend on equipment. Did Guttenberg initiate this national conversation? It’s difficult to know for sure, but this is something he has been stressing for months!
Or maybe PCG's writers are just quote mining.
Could we see Guttenberg return soon to Germany and to Germany’s political stage? Only the man himself can answer that question. But given his personality and leadership, and considering the conditions in Germany and Europe, the longer he waits, the more welcome his return will be.
It is more likely that PCG's leaders have no idea what they are talking about.

They say they won the court case with Tkach's WCG but actually they paid $3 million to essentially purchase those copyrights after losing the court case.

Back in 2001 PCG's leaders said America was becoming isolationist. They did not foresee what was just about to occur.

They fear mongered about the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt for years never foreseeing that they would be ejected from power and violently suppressed in 2013.

They cannot even get past facts right. PCG has long since blamed Germany for starting the Yugoslav Wars by granting diplomatic recognition to Slovenia and Croatia in December 1991 when armed combat actually began months earlier.

There is no need to fear that PCG's leaders just might be onto something. They do not know what they are talking. They have no special insight into the future. Paying three tithes to PCG will not lead any of PCG's followers into a place of safety.

  1. Their speculating about this is beyond laughable, considering their beliefs about this dictator. It's just another stab at Armstrongish know-it-allism.

They teach that this prophesied leader is supposed to be demon possessed, actually possibly by Satan himself. It's supposed to be a total anomaly, something that takes the world by surprise, not the natural or predictable ascension to power of a talented individual. By their teaching, any German paper hanger, or janitor could get a demon and rise to power. It's supposedly Satan being used to fulfill God's plan.

  2. Very good point. I didn't look at it that way but that is so true.

  3. Yes, just like any ad copy writer could become demon possessed, found a billion dollar religious empire, die and have the whole thing splinter into 700 pieces.
