Old WCG's Address in Jerusalem

In a recent post it was noted that a 1975 booklet produced by WCG listed a mailing address in Jerusalem without mentioning Israel indicating that WCG was acknowledging that East Jerusalem is not recognized by the international community as being a part of the State of Israel. This includes the 161 national governments that recognize the State of Israel as well as the United States.

It now appears that this policy was not enforced consistently but changed over time.

  1. My first contact with the R/WCG was 50 years ago this month, and the first PT was August 1967. I still remember the Radio Log had entries for Radio Jerusalem, Jordan - broadcasts that were never made.
