The COGs offer a way of viewing the world with the assurance that members are "in the know" about what is really going on. Events and stories are presented to COG members in such a way as to prop up the dogmas taught by the COG groups.

Here are some news articles that contradict various aspects of what is taught within many of the COGs.

(Warning: Contains graphic content:) Mondoweiss discusses the shooting to death of Mohammad Khalaf at the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem. It is mentioned that Israeli personnel continued shooting after he was no longer a threat to them.

Mondoweiss reports how some in Saudi Arabia initiated a Twitter campaign entitled "#WeWillRespectHomosexualRights."

Alternet reports that an Israeli-American scholar at George Washington University proposed flattening Beirut (a city of many men, women and children) to get Hezbollah in an article published in Haaretz.

Recently one Likud MK absurdly said that since there is no P in Arabic therefore there is no Palestinian people. Haaretz reported on this (February 10, 2016).

So often the COGs complain that men are no longer properly respected, are being feminized, and feminism is often condemned. Here is a sobering article from The Guardian noting the corrosive effect of sexism upon the English language. (January 27, 2016.)
