No Palestinian People in the Holy Land After World War I?

From an Arutz Sheva describing the family history of an Israeli woman who was then comatose after being attacked by Palestinians while in a car. The following sentence describes an event that occurred after World War I.
Moshe's father saw to it that the Jewish fighters got certificates to allow them to flee and enter what was then Palestine (there was no Palestinian people at the time). (December 29, 2014.)
Let it be stated that the Holy Land has been continuously inhabited and the Palestinians were there in the era after World War I and continuously before then.

May peace soon come to the Holy Land.

(Incidentally the same author had earlier written an article that was cited by a PCG member to incorrectly insinuate that Palestinians may have murdered Mohammad Abu Khdeir. That accusation was nonsense.)
