Does PCG's Joel Hilliker Dream of Finding the Ark of the Covenant?

Back in January 2015 PCG's Joel Hilliker wrote an article discussing the Tabernacle. He also seems to speculate that the Ark of the Covenant will soon be found.
Notice the prophecy in Jeremiah 3:16. This suggests that sometime soon, the ark will be discovered and put on display where people can “visit it.” Even so, not long after that, people will not talk about it anymore, or even remember it. The ark is just a symbol of God’s rule on Earth. But the time is coming when that rule will actually be here! You no longer need the symbol when the real thing manifests on Earth.
What an absurd fable this is. PCG will never find the Ark of the Covenant. PCG members are being filled with expectations that can never be fulfilled.

  1. If PCG did find it, they probably wouldn't know who should handle it, or how to properly handle it, and someone would die. Without ancient Levites around to instruct and purify, the thing could end up being more of a curse.

Seriously, there are legends concerning the ark, and I believe that one prominent one comes from Ethiopia, that the wood parts of the ark decayed and collapsed hundreds of years ago. Who even knows, at this point in time? It would not be the first time that an importand relic was swallowed by antiquity. We have modern and scientific methods of preserving important items and mostly protecting them from decay, but eventually, everything returns to the basic elements of the cosmos.

    1. Indeed. It is an absurd hope to find it somewhere. And even if it still existed today PCG would never find it anyway.

  2. No, no -- the Ark was discovered by the Germans, but now resides in Area 51.

PCG is unlikely to convince Harrison Ford to turn it over.
