The Israeli ringleader in the killing of a Palestinian youth, abducted and burned to death in Jerusalem in 2014, has been convicted of his murder.
A Jerusalem court found 31-year-old Yosef Haim Ben David guilty, rejecting a plea of insanity. He will be sentenced next month. (BBC News, April 19, 2016.)Shamefully when the murder was reported PCG's Brent Nagtegaal and Christopher Eames responded to the news of a 16 year old Palestinian being murdered in the following way.
Here is how PCG's Brent Nagtegaal responded.
The disparity of western media reporting of the murder of the 3 #Israeli's teens and the #Palestinian teen is abominable.Christopher Eames responded in this way.
Why is the int. outcry against murder of a Palestinian teen that much greater than the murder of three Israeli teens? http://t.co/6sfTXhHOH0 [July 2, 2014]In the month after the deadly abduction in June 2014 about eight Palestinians were killed by Israeli personnel. And the month afterwards the State of Israel went to war against the Palestinians of Gaza in which over 2,500 Palestinians were killed.
A few days later Eames posted this tweet.
Why are we so quick to assume it was Jews who killed Abu Khdair? http://t.co/RmVsm1HIgO "To get a time slot, one must condemn Jews" [July 6, 2014.]Eames was wrong to cast doubt about the identity of the murderers. Turned out he was murdered by three extremist Israelis. And they all been convicted of murder.
It is shameful for them to have reacted this way. It shows that they do not care about Palestinian lives. It is shameful that they view the lives of Palestinian people as but a little thing. This is racist. It is shameful.
