Israel's Blockade of Gaza is Turning It Into a Desert

The COGs will never bother mentioning such unpleasant aspects of the State of Israel's treatment of the Palestinians in Gaza in their recruitment writings.
The three wadis that drain seasonal waters from Israel onwards towards the Mediterranean via Gaza have dried up due to their waters being diverted by Israel into the Negev, meaning that once-abundant Gaza is facing the prospect of desertification. Deprived of water, Wadi Gaza is today a thick sludge of sewage winding its way through populated areas and agricultural lands alike, polluting both the soils and the aquifer. (Jeff Halper, War Against the People, 2015, Chapter 7.)
Halper cites the following report: Environmental Assessment of the Gaza Strip Following the Escalation of Hostilities in December 2008 - January 2009.

How terrible. We need peace now.
