The Gay Scene in Israel

The time I heard about the gay scene in Israel was from This Burning Land by Greg Myre and Jennifer Griffin (2011). On pages 181-3 they discuss opposition to the hosting of a gay pride parade in Jerusalem in 2005-6.
In liberal, secular Tel Aviv, gay pride parades are annual events that do not generate controversy.... (p. 182.)
It is also mentioned that a gay pride march in Jerusalem got attacked by an extremist.
...a small local march was held downtown Jerusalem, and an Orthodox Jew stabbed and wounded three participants. (p. 182.)
That extremist was thrown into jail for ten years. But he got out he attacked another gay pride parade in Jerusalem in 2015 and murdered a sixteen year old Jewish girl. Now he is a murderer.

The COGs do not tend to talk about that section of Israeli society very much.

  1. I do not understand why this is important to those coming out of Armstrongism.
